The Grunt Style Foundation is proud to host the “Veterans Harm Reduction Summit: Exploring the Relationship Between Medication & Veteran Suicide.”

This event is proudly hosted in partnership with the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, The Michigan Commander’s Group and The American Legion Department of Michigan at the VFW National Home in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. This one-day event is the first of it’s kind in the nation to address the role of medication overprescribing in the veteran suicide epidemic. We will be joined by veterans and family members with lived experiences, subject matter experts and veteran advocates to discuss the challenges facing the veteran and mental health community, and solutions moving forward, with the goal of reducing harm and saving lives.

Exploring the Relationship Between Medication & Veteran Suicide

Throughout the summit we will gain valuable insights from veterans and family members with lived experiences, along with learnings from experts related to harm reduction in veteran care. We will explore innovative best practices and we will focus on finding common sense solutions to combat the veteran suicide epidemic. Our agenda is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of veteran mental health, from understanding suicide data to discussing survivor stories and addressing responsible prescribing practices.
